If you’ve haven’t been to DiSCO yet, come along now…
Hundreds of families can’t be wrong. They flocked to our DiSCO party where we played games and really reminded people that we have an interactive spece within the gallery. Seven days a week, come along and play – just follow the coloured dots of our new DiSCO logo that lead to the interactive space. Check outs some more snaps on the website for what’s inside.

Blog training in progress
Today we’re having some training on how to write blogs. So the plan is we’re all goingto start blogging in the gallery and you’ll find out more about what’s going on here behind the scenes. Keep an eye on us and I for one promise to be more visible. If you want to join in more come along to Wednesday’s workshop and take some snaps of yourself to post on the blog. See you soon.

Speed tours are going to be developed first and you will have a chance to take part in them between 22nd and 26th August. 12 noon every day. Tours are going to be quick so hope you will squeeze them in your lunch break! You do not need to book. Just come to the gallery few seconds before 12 noon and wait by the reception desk. Tours will start promptly at 12 noon so do not be late!
All 5 tours will take place during the first weekend of December 2009. Exact dates and the programme will be announced shortly!
11th – 16th August – more tea & chat between 12 and 2pm
The voting is over and now I have entered ‘prep the tours’ time. I will still keep the studio open for a couple of hours every day when I am in Walsall so please pop in for tea and chat if you wish to learn how things develop and share your ideas! Doors are open and tea is brewing!
One & Other
Hello our friends,
Our director, Stephen Snoddy, has been selected to go onto the 4th plinth of Trafalgar Square, London on Fri 28 August at 1pm as part of the Antony Gormley project One & Other. Go to http://www.oneandother.co.uk/participants/Snod for more info.
He wants to do something that promotes The New Art Gallery Walsall and is looking for interesting ideas that will capture people’s imagination.
Any ideas and suggestions are always welcome. So what do you think?
